Named after the lofted ceilings of our stately former Mint Plaza cafe, 17ft Ceiling was inspired by classic Italian espresso. We blend Latin American and East African coffees for a pleasant, complex profile. We then accent it with fine robusta to create a sturdy depth of flavor and unbelievable crema.

The inclusion of high-quality organic robusta provides zero acidity and plenty of backbone, making 17ft Ceiling engaging and satisfying while remaining light and inviting.

The trick to this sturdy, crema-heavy espresso is its dark roast, which highlights the rich body and smooth texture.

Blend Inspiration
"The Mint Plaza shop, at the time, was very complex. It had OG drippers. It had siphon bars. It had lever machines pulling single origins. It had different single origins on a drip bar. It was very complex. So, this, I wanted to be crowd-pleasing, easier to make, pretty to look at as an espresso." – James Freeman
